FEAT 2014 – THE MBA Fest!!
An Intra Collegiate Management Fest “FEAT-14” Was organized by the Department of MBA during Feb – Mar, 2014. FEAT 14 was conceived with the goal of bringing real world exposure to students by integrating various Management events. “FEAT-14” stands different because it is not just with the idea of conducting competition, but to identify the skill gap in students and further to provide training.
The event was promoted innovatively through Teaser Campaign hoardings, Website and Social media. We had a kick start with the great crowd through mesmerizing Flash Mob and the “FEAT-14 Management Mascot” was revealed with a video launch by Dr. M.S Indira, Principal, Sir.MVIT. The events under “FEAT-14” were:
“The Expert Talk Week” – In which, renowed expert personalities like Sri. G V Kongwad – Former IAS Officer and Mr. Sumith Kombra – Founder & Managing Director of Shakthi Publication Pvt ltd and few more industry subject matter experts were invited to share their experiences and enlightened the young budding managers.
Campus Calling: A Mock recruitment drive conducted across the campus for engineering, MCA, MBA and MTech Students was conducted which was structured like a corporate recruitment drive. All the participants were able to gauge and tune themselves to perform well in the real time recruitment drive.
Best Manager: An innovative event to promote and nurture the entrepreneurship and managerial skills through interesting phases like Costume Designing, Corporate Dinning Etiquettes and Multi Tasking Manager events were conducted.
Apart from this innovative sessions, , few more events like: Advanced Google Search, Workshop on MS-Excel, Book Review Session, Management in Movies and Advanced Business Quiz etc were conducted as a part of extracurricular activities on a full fledge basis.
Workshops on Campus to Corporate:
To make our students “Industry Ready” , Apart from routine student oriented activities like Group Discussions on recent issues in the industry, Case Study Analysis, Role play etc, the department organized an exclusive workshop on “Campus to Corporate” for the outgoing batch of students to make them industry ready.
It comprised of sessions like: Session on Business Ethics,Training on Resume Writing, Tips on how perform better in interviews, session on body language & soft skills and Mock Panel Interview Session.
Prof. Preeja Shridhar, Corporate trainer and Dr. Ramani Mabel, Recruitment Consultant for IBM and Dr.Sadashiva Naik, academician with rich experience were the resource persons invited for the workshop.
Workshop on “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS”
Workshop on “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS” sponsored by UNIDO-ICAMT and Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust. The workshop was organized by the Department of Management Studies with an objective to encourage the students and faculty to gain knowledge on IPR and its various components like copyrights, patents, trademark, IP licensing etc.
Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhakad, Programme Director of UNIDO-ICAMT was the guest of honor accompanied by Mr. V.K Subramanya, Consultant –UNITO ICAMT and Ms. Sweta also from UNIDO-ICAMT. The Resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Kalyan accompanied by Mr. Sandeep and Mr. Nishanth from Brain League.
